Developed by the American fish taxidermist Wayne Cooper, Flex eyes are a very good alternative to our glass fish eyes. The soft, flexible acrylic material allows an easy insertion of the eyes. The realistic colours,
which are brought into the eyes with a special printing technique, and the intricate detail in the iris pattern, give the eyes a very natural look. They should never come into contact with chemicals like acetone. Multicoloured fish eye with good reflective qualities. Made from a flexible clear acrylic, shaped to create excellent realism.

The diameter of the eye is measured at the widest point and is accurate to +/- 2% as a general estimate. These eyes are sold in pairs.

Fixing

Eyes of all kinds can be fitted in many different ways. If the eye is to be fitted into a wood substrate (stick making, carving or similar) then a glue such as a two-part epoxy glue can be used. If something with a bit more body is required clay can be used or an epoxy putty can be used such as Apoxie Sculpt.
